Kwazi Ndlangisa is an award-winning South African poet, writer, and children’s book author from Umzimkhulu, KwaZulu-Natal. Known for blending Zulu poetry with lullabies, he explores themes of African identity and inner restoration. He is the author of Collecting Self and Vukani Kusile, and his work has earned him the Sol Plaatje European Union Poetry Award and the 2024 South African Literary Award for Children’s Literature.
Ndlangisa is the Founder and Managing Director of IKhambi Writers Hub, a non-profit that promotes indigenous languages and rural youth development through literary arts. His poetry has been featured in esteemed journals such as IMbiza, New Coin, Unmute, and Sol Plaatje Anthology.
Kwazi Ndlangisa has performed at Poetry Africa, Open Book Festival, National Arts Festival, Poetas D’Alma (Mozambique), Accra International Book Festival, NY Fashion Week (pre-recorded), Maun International Arts Festival (Botswana), and more.
